Thinking Aloud

Six characters go to the preview of an art exhibition. We hear what they think while watching what they do and say. Naturally, not everyone says what they’re thinking.

This site-specific production was written especially for the bar of the ICA. The audience members were each issued with a radio and headphones so they could listen in to the characters’ (pre-recorded) thoughts while the live action happened in the bar around them.

I was one of three writers on this project, working with David Black and Charlie Fish. The director was Annette Mees and Mink Ette was the producer. It was a soldout success.
