Clockwork Watch is the brainchild of Yomi Ayeni. It’s a truly transmedia initiative: a steampunk storyworld that encompasses graphic novels, theatre, live events, online content and a potential feature film.
The film is where I come in. Working with Yomi, I wrote a screenplay that ties in with the Clockwork Watch universe but should be accessible for anyone who enjoys a good adventure story.
The tale explores a steampunk world populated in part by lifelike clockwork humanoids employed as servants. Policing this troublesome new community is the Watch – and their job is far from simple.
Yomi describes it as ‘the steampunk Blade Runner’. I’ll be happy with that.
